In art especially, I see many folks imitating the stuff they see in the magazines. They make carbon copies of the handiwork displayed on the page. As an instructor, I am always flattered to some degree that students chose to re-create the sample I made for class but, it always comes with a huge pang of guilt. As an instructor, my job is to equip folks with the necessary techniques and hopefully instill in them the realization that only they can reflect themselves in their work. It takes courage to be yourself and to let that peson show through in your art. Art is intensely personal. I saw this road sign and it just drove the point home.

Oh, Sarah, this one is REALLY good. Think it just may inspire me to send a card to my cousins, who have told me this quite often lately. Happy Thanksgiving and only 10 days left of hunting season - stay safe.
