There is a saying that says, Somedays you are the Statue while other days, You are the Pigeon. The funny thing is, you never know what the day will bring and whether or not it is your turn to by the statue. This past weekend, we spent the majority of our days outside painting our house. It is so funny how when you are buying the paint (the whole delusion of grandeur moment when you actually think that it won't take that long because you actually love painting that it really isn't a chore moment) reality really isn't in your head at that point..... Sunburns, sore muscles, paint in your hair, paint splotches on the trim you just painted, and the infamous spot where you can't reach with any ladder you own (seriously, how did they paint that spot in the first place- they must have been descendants of the fabled Amazons or something....) At any rate, I was explaining my hard weekend to my friend on the phone- seriously whining and begging for the "AWWWWW you poor thing" coddling I wanted when she said, "You totally brought it on yourself...." Where's the love? No sooner had I hung up the phone, my kids started clammering to take a picture of all the new baby cows at the dairy farm. Right when I got the camera out and ready to take the picture did the dumb things do an about face..... that's right, we got a wonderful picture of the receiving end. I had to laugh. We waited for a good 10 minutes to see if they would "moooooove" (I couldn't resist) and to no avail.
